How is the Elecy recharged?

The battery is removable and can be charged on mains power anywhere! Total charge time is 3 hours.

What if I run out of battery?

The Elecy has direct drive to the rear wheels so you can ride it with or without     the battery! Wind tunnel testing has shown that it is 86.5% more    aerodynamically efficient than regular eBikes so the effort required should be lower.

What is the range?

80km per charge, however this can be increased based on the battery size you choose. You can easily carry multiple batteries if you're planning a longer journey.

Where can I ride the Elecy?

You can ride anywhere bikes can, this includes public roads and cycle lanes. The Elecy is considered as an 'Electric Assist Pedal Cycle' and is legal to use throughout UK and Europe.

No, you do not need to pay road tax or have insurance, although insurance is recommended.

Will I need to pay insurance or road tax?

The electric motor cuts off at 25km/h (the legal limit), however you can go far beyond this on pedal power alone!

How fast can it go?

Can I ride it without electric assist?

Yes! There is a direct connection between the pedals and rear wheels meaning you can cycle without any electric assistance, if you choose to or if your battery runs out.

Who can ride the Elecy? 

Designed to fit people between 1.5 to 2m tall, you do not need a driving licence to operate the Elecy, in UK and EU but you must be over the age of 14

Enter the Elecy using a door and openable canopy for easy access!

How safe is the Elecy?

The Elecy is as tall as an Audi R8 making it visible in traffic. It has impact Protection and a stable 4 wheel design and is made to keep you safe while on the move.

How stable is the Elecy?

Despite it's height, the Elecy is stable thanks to its 4-wheeled design. In the unlikely loss of stability, the Elecy has roll over protection.

How visible is the Elecy at night?

The Elecy is very visible at night. It has headlights, indicators,  rear lights, brake lights and reflectors fitted as standard

What are the seats like Elecy?

The Elecy has comfortable car-style seating. So you sit as you would when driving, with the pedals in front of you.

How many seats does the Elecy have?

The Elecy sits one adult and one child, one behind the other.

Will I fit in the Elecy?

The Elecy is designed to comfortably fit people between 1.5 to 2m tall.

Is the Elecy waterproof?

The Aerodynamic body provides full weather protection all year round. It is water and wind proof!

How do I keep cool?

The Elecy features adjustable air vents for passive cooling as you ride. If you want to enjoy sunny weather, the canopy can be fully removed turning the Elecy into a cabriolet. We are also developing optional climate control systems.

How big is it ?

The Elecy is 2.5m long, 0.8m wide (perfect for cycle lanes) and 1.3m tall (same height as an Audi R8)

Where can I park the Elecy?

The Elecy is an eBike, you can park anywhere regular bikes can. For reference you can fit 4 Elecys into 1 car park spot!

How much storage does it have?

300L of storage, that's equivalent to over 4 bags for life! If you're carrying a child in the back seat then you can still fit in 2 backpacks!
